Temenos T24, blog question.

the project implementation is the vital part in the whole process of projectt management, because it would affect the customars'views if anything goes wrong with this phase. describe the activities that the project manager could plan for this stage, to avoid any risk of failure.

Ans:
first of all, the project manager has to make sure that scope of the project is well understood by the stakeholders then he maps out and explains the deliverable for each stage of the project. the project team will work to meet this outcome.
Secondly, he or she has to ensure the bare minimum changes (preferably NO CHANGES) in terms of team members during the project lifecycle and also to ensure that the project is handled in such a manner that any change(s) happening therein will not affect or delay any of the stage. if there'll be any changes, the project manager needs to decide how the changes will be controlled.
the project manager has to decide what development and collaboration tools to be used.eg; •Project website, project mailing list, issue tracking system, version control system, automated build system and automated unit test system. then the project manager prepares the work break-down structure and it's estimate. it inludes the tasks that will be needed for this project, dividing tasks into subtasks until you feel that you have enough detail to expose risks and make reasonable estimates in ideal engineering hours.
after these, the project manager list the project deliverables in details and the deivery dates.
Also, the project manager has to initiate communication It is necessary to ensure that all relevant parties share a common understanding of the project's objectives, approach and outcomes. The communication benefits is particularly important to ensure that buy-in and commitment prevails.
keep the clients and the company officials updated(feedback)of the work progress.
finally, any risk faced in the course of the project has to be noted and the plan to solve the risk.(unknwon, 2004).

  1. Good coverage. Bear in mind that your suggestions regarding information distribution via mailing list etc are also part of project communication management.

Overall, you've done well. Good job.
