3. Analyse which project management process groups were affected to cause the conclusions listed in lessons learnt. Elaborate your reasons.


Answer: There are five project management process groups. Started from initiating process, planning process, executing process, monitoring and controlling process, and closing process. There are three lessons learnt in the article. There are internal work packages and supply chain activities must be coordinated by a single project management, qualification plans for components must be agreed between issuer and supplier in a very early stage, and a formal change management process must be installed right from the beginning. Planning process is a project management process groups that were affected to cause the conclusions listed in lessons learnt. In the article, Kushite owned by MOI took care the internal work packages, in the project timing there is a statement that since 2005 MOI internal planning and founding of Kushite Integrated Co. Ltd. ongoing negotiations with various suppliers. All of this phase are included in the planning process. In the planning process we have to decide which part have to be done first and which part can be done later and we have to choose the suitable project management.

4. In your opinion, how did the project manager able to produce the results as listed in the success factors? Relate each success factor to the project management process groups.

There are five project management process groups. Started from initiating process, planning process, executing process, monitoring and controlling process, and closing process. These are four success factor in the article.
· Capacity building with the issuers personnel resulted in sound understanding of the complexity of the system
· Local project manager with an international background was able to manage the project cross cultural boundaries
· Suppliers communicated well between each other
· Intensive involvement of the Senior Executives of Kushite and Senior Officers of the MOI

The first point is related to the initiating process because the issuers must initiating the whole project so they can build the suitable system for the project.


The second point related to the planning process because we have to recruit the project manager that have the ability to handle the project.


The third point related to the planning process because if the suppliers communicated well between each other so it will plan the planning very well because they can brainstorm to give a good idea for the project.


The fourth point related to the monitoring and controlling process because the project manager and staff monitor and measure progress against the plans and take the corrective action when necessary to keep the project on track.
