Question :
1. Refer to the case study, what were the risks that the client of Cisco had to face? Explain each risk.
Answer : 1) For enterprises and IT managers, the most serious problem is internal risk. There are three reasons lead to this kind of risks: The first reason is that economic factors; The second reason is the relationship between employers and employees has changed; The third reason is the trend of globalization of production and outsourcing business.
2) Cisco is a kind of network technology, it will also face many networks risk, such as hackers. When customers use this technology, there always some important information and data need to send by, this will be the goal of commercial criminals and hackers. Therefore, security is also a major problem
3) On the other hand, Cisco TelePresence is a complex and advanced technology, it has the risk of the existence in technical aspects itself such as system errors, data lossing…..
4)The clients were being provided sub-standard service. As a result of the employees having to travel to the various locations, they were often tired during meeting. This affected their productivity and concentration. Also having to travel meant that the employees would not be at the office, which means that during this time no other tasks could be taken care of, which again affected the client.
3. Do you think that Cisco could repeat the same success for every client? How can they ensure that?
Answer: Yes, I think so. Because both of these two client have some aspects in the same, this is a good advantage to Cisco. And the main reason is: they make a comparatively planning to help solving different problems and mistake such as “Requirements Verification”, “Site Survey”,” Implementation Plan”,” Acceptance Testing”,” End-User Training”.
